The Elizabeth Concannon Mail Art Archives

Artist Elizabeth Concannon was involved in the mail art network - known as the Eternal Network -  for a period of ten years. She exchanged mail art with a number of artists and participated in several  mail art publications such as M.B. Corbett's Tensetendoned and Art/Life the unique magazine by the late Joe Cardella. All of the work in this collection spans a time period of 1993 to about 2003

Art/Life -
Each month's issue presented a diverse array of media, including collages, original prints and photos, dimensional objects, poetry and prose. Although ART/LIFE limits its circulation to only 100 copies, its impact is notable. It is collected by such major institutions as New York's Museum of Modern Art, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Getty Trust in Santa Monica. It is also in many private collections, archives and museums throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. The E. Concannon Mail Art Archives contains 110 issues representing ten years of the publication's production.
Also there are about 50 unique extra or left over pages by Concannon for the issues she contributed to.

Brain Cell -  About 40 works in the collection with a statement in English and Japanese from Ryosuke Cohen (June 1993)
